How Urethane Wear Strips Are Made
Urethane wear strips are manufactured by bonding a 90A to 60D urethane directly to steel or aluminum flatbar. Widths range from 1" up to 12" for larger applications, and strips are cast in 12' lengths that can be cut to custom dimensions. The urethane can be cast across the full width of the part, or we can leave sides exposed so the bars can be welded into position for faster installation. We also machine parts after casting to accommodate fastener-based installation when welding is not an option.
Typical tolerances are +/-.030 on urethane thickness and width, and +/-.125 on overall length.
