Urethane Bend Stiffeners

Precision Urethane has manufactured many different bend stiffeners used on cables, flexible pipelines or umbilical's in dynamic applications where constant protection is required. Inserts are machined and molded in to the stiffeners to allow for termination to customers specifications. Urethane stiffeners can be formulated in a wide array of compounds with tensile and tear properties unequalled by any other elastomer. The product flexibility can be tuned by targeting the correct hardness to limit cable movement to prevent damage.

To better service the needs of our customers, Precision Urethane has invested in large capacity casting technology which enables us to cast large bend stiffeners up to 13’ in length and in excess of 2000lbs. Precision flow meters measure each and every cast to ensure each part meets customers specifications. To complement our state-of-the-art metering technology, Precision Urethane can also machine the inserts / flanges in-house saving time and cost, machining items up to 40” in diameter.
